The site looks very interesting Tom. I’m looking forward to hearing how it works for you. I just found out last weekend that a guy in my church has been running his backhoe all summer on 50% diesel and 50% recycled vegetable oil. He gets the oil from a restaurant and strains it through a filter before mixing it with the diesel. That’s it…just filter it and mix it. He just bought a diesel truck to plow snow this winter and is linking up with a couple more restaurants for their waste oil. I guess that he starts on straight diesel and switches to the mix when the engine is warmed up. It almost sounds too easy.

I know Herrick. I’ve read the same thing about oils.Strain it and mix it, walla!!
From what I gather the alcohol will have to be preheated before ignition in Minnesota but that’s not much of a problem.
