  That's how we do it. I run the chopper out in the field. One thing about silage, it's not like small grains, no itch. A person could lay in the stuff and be basically clean.And I love the smell of it too.

		<description>Thanks for giving me the memory of years on the dairy farm. Hubby ran cutter and I drove one of the dump trucks under the blower and hauled it to silo (we had our silage in a long hole in the ground) and dumped it so someone could drive a tractor and pack it. We covered the silage with heavy black plastic and then covered that with sawdust and old tires. We uncovered as we used it. I loved the smell when we cut silage! Work hard but have fun!</description>
