Thank You Lord For The Rain!
June 24th, 2006 by Northern FarmerToday was different around here. In three separate rains we picked up an inch of desperatly needed rain. And with the possibility of a bit more to come. Time to Praise the Lord!!! I can’t even think of anything to write except Praise! Yee Haw!!!
So I’ll unplug the old computer tonight, no need in frying this one down with lightening like the last one we had. Times can be lean sometimes around here and I’m not in the mood to buy a different computer and start all over.
I’ll go upstairs and listen to some preachin CDs and read a few of Pastor Josh’s books he lent me. Get myself tired out and hit the hay. It never ceases to amaze me how things can change with a little rain after a dry spell. The smells, the way the birds sound, and just a better general outlook on everything. So ends another week here.

I like that…Yee Haw!!! Thanks for your faith and for your ability to praise God. I also like your strength to stand up and say what needs to be said…even if it isn’t popular.
We have also gotten rain here. The muddy footprints are constant in the kitchen. The bath tub has rinsed many a muddy kids these past few days!!

Rain, isn’t it wonderful!! We’re getting some mud drug into the house too, and it sure does look good!! This morning I hear the frogs singing out side, that’s a first in quite some time. Church is going to be so good today for me with so much to be thankful for. Thanks Christina!

Glad to hear that you got some rain, I love to hear the rain hit a tin roof,
God will take care of our needs!

Scott,
Ok, that got me laughing sir!!! The mud drug, sheeeeesh! But you know, it’s a darn good drug as of this moment, but I suppose, like any other drug, it can be taken in excess!!
Janice,
There’s some really good ones and one of my favorites is Mountain Moving Faith. I learned more in a week than with a lifetime of “religion”. It’s amazing how far religion has strayed from the Word. I’ve sent out several copies of “Mountain Moving Faith” to readers of this blog that are seeking a closer relationship with the Father, they’re on me, or should I say our little church. Good stuff! Thanks Janice!!
PJ lent me two grocery bags of books on faith, spiritual gifts, healing, etc. I’m over half way through, he lent them to me at the beginning of Lent. But now I lent him some Plain Talk CDs so he’s safe on getting his books back

We got rain yesterday and today too. What a blessing it is after a 3 week drought and no real regrowth on the hay fields. I was really starting to sweat the grazing also, but God knows our needs and He took care of us in His time. We would all do well to lean more on Him!

I would like to read it someday!
have a great week

Brent,
Alright!! Praise Jesus!! I know how you were feeling and so glad you received the blessed rain. I never done this before but I’d be working and Praising Jesus in the dust in the fields and it sure did the heart good. He sure likes Praise and Praising Him during the bleak times is a darn good way of leaning on Him. Thank you!
Janice,
If you ever feel that you’d like to read it, and it sure does help any beleiver to build up their faith, just e-mail me with your name and address and I’ll have a copy in the mail for you the next time we head to town. My e-mail address is: rafter63 (at) fallsnet.com

Hello Tom! I’m praising the Lord here with you! So glad the Lord sent some rain your way. We’re getting a little dose of that “mud drug” into our house as well with another soggy day. I could use some sun for my plants soon!

Hi Emily!
Thank you! One thing about the mud drug, stuff sure does good with it, much more so than without it. Here’s wishing you sunshine and many blessings

Godwyn,
Hey, I sure do agree with you on all that! And thank you my friend from the other side of the world! I always figured on visiting blogging friends and someday going your way would be about the longest trip in this whole world! And I thought I was going to fall off the edge visiting JM and family an hour east of here. God Bless You!
Tom
